The Art of Not Overthinking: From One Messy Brain to Another

The Art of Not Overthinking: From One Messy Brain to Another Ever caught yourself trapped in your own mind? Whether it’s mature thoughts like  “What happened a few years back?”, “What's going to happen in the next few years?”, o r even  “What's happening right now?” ... Or completely unrelated nonsense like “Can coffee and Glucon-D be taken together?”  Our brain just... won’t stop. And let’s not pretend we haven’t rehearsed convos in front of teachers who don’t even know we exist. You have, right?  Same here. And you know what’s even funnier?  We know it’s bad for us; we know it's pointless; but we do it anyway.  They say the brain is our ultimate protector. Funny, because sometimes it feels like it's exists to ruin us (unintentionally… I hope) How Overthinking Starts from the Smallest Things You ask yourself something simple like, "What should I wear for tomorrow's event?" And suddenly your brain questions your entire existence, like "You don’t kno...

Success Guilt : The Guilt of Having What We Wanted

Success Guilt : The Guilt of Having What We Wanted  Why will one feel the guilt of having what he himself wanted in the first place? Yes, we wanted it, but the irony is that “we do feel the guilt”. Even if we spend our whole life chasing after success. A healthy relationship, a dream job, financial security, whatever it is — we work really hard and, finally, one day we achieve it. But still we don't feel that pure happiness, instead a strange feeling of guilt.  Do I even deserve this? Did I do enough to achieve this? What if I'm taking someone else's place?  What if it changes me? If you've ever felt this way, don't worry as you're not alone. Guilt after success in what we wanted first is completely normal, but why do we feel this way? And how do we overcome it? Why do we feel this way? This guilt comes from internal conflict between what you desire and your sense of fairness. When we achieve something, a thought of others comes to our mind: What if he worked ...

Perfection Is a Myth

Perfection Is a Myth To be perfect is to be unable to improve any further. The concept of "perfection" is just a limiting idea. The pursuit of absolute perfection is a dead end, as it leaves no room for improvement or further development. There's no space for imagination or creativity. A pure waste of intelligence. Imagine there's a guy who says, "I'm perfect". Eventually, he'll lose that hunger to learn, to explore new things, and to experiment as he'll constantly worry about IMPERFECTIONS.  And remember, nothing is perfect: no being, no story, no day, no moment; nothing. Close to perfect can be a thing, but perfection is a total myth. So if this happens, then it just means "success is taking over your mind". You performed exceptionally well in a few things, which made you believe that you're perfect, but it's not the case. Success is just getting over your head, and you're unable to act rationally. You lose that exceptio...

THE ART OF FOCUS

The Art of Focus  "Due date is tomorrow; I really gotta focus on my assignments, but before that, let's play some games." - DELETE THAT THING OFF FROM YOUR PHONE "Gosh, it's midnight, and in the afternoon I have my exam. I really have to focus on studying... Lemme look for the notes online." (proceeds to scroll for hours) Once again saying, DELETE THAT THING OFF FROM YOUR LIFE. You know why you are not able to focus on what's important: because you're not making them your priority. You are stuck in your comfort zone. You don't want to do that hard work but will still cry about why things are not working for you, as if someone else is liable for your failed tasks.  Get up, look in the mirror, and shout, I'M RESPONSIBLE, and I'M READY! Ready to delete those distractions from my life, Ready to act mature and start taking my life more seriously, Ready to make my parents proud, Ready to make me proud of myself. It's not that bad to li...

The Art of Not Knowing Everything

The Art of Not Knowing Everything    “The greatest knowledge is to know that you know nothing.” In a time where information is at our fingertips and can be accessed easily, one can easily feel that he/she should know everything. But why? Why are we so inclined towards knowing everything? Even though, on the one hand, we have the Google search bar and, on the other hand, the AI assistant, and both of them can give any kind of information we want. But what if there is some value in not knowing everything? What if I say there's a certain magic in being a rebel and let those questions linger? And what if I say, “I'm not joking but being serious?" The art of not knowing everything gives us deep benefits, from profound creativity to real connections with others. Let's dig deeper on why ‘not knowing everything’ is an important attitude everyone should adopt.  What is the Art of Not Knowing? The art of not knowing everything is great, but what exactly is this—a question th...

Journey

Journey You were my source of light Showed me the way when nothing was bright I tried and tried but nothing went right Looking at myself I would always fright Even after reaching that certain height I would lament for nothing being alright Then one day I found a warm invite Felt as if two souls were craving to reunite A perfect bond where there was no spite Trust this high that no one can have a bite Maybe the spark’s lost at it won’t reignite Meeting you was perfect, a total delight
